It is with regret we have decided that the 2026 Mater Chicks in Pink International Women’s Day Fun Run in Townsville will not proceed on Sunday due to current severe wet weather in the region.
This community means the world to us, and your safety will always come first. After consultation with relevant stakeholders and with the wellbeing of our participants and volunteers front of mind, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event. The weather conditions and their impact over the coming days poses too great a risk for us to continue safely.
Your entry has automatically been transferred to this event, so when it’s safe to do so, we encourage you to grab your breasties, pop on your official event t-shirt and walk, jog or run 5km in your local area.
